Interview with Isidre Esteve: "I am proud to contribute to the future of mobility".

Isidre Esteve has established himself as a benchmark not only for his talent at the wheel, but also for his ability to inspire through his values. During his time at Motortec 2025, the Repsol Toyota Rally Team driver shared his thoughts on his recent participation in the Dakar Rally 2025, the crucial role of renewable lubricants and his close relationship with Repsol.

For Esteve, trust is a fundamental pillar in high competition, and this includes the security of having products that guarantee maximum performance and reliability. "For us, that aspect is very important, because it's a trust issue. The trust that we are with the best. Trust because we collaborate in the development of the lubricants themselves," he explains during his conversation with Repsol Lubricantes.

In this regard, it should be recalled that the Dakar Rally 2025, held last January, was the perfect scenario to test the renewable lubricants developed by Repsol. These innovative formulations, created with more than 70% plant-based renewables, proved to be able to withstand the most extreme conditions without compromising performance. "Even if we use renewable lubricants, the performance is the same at the highest level of demand," Esteve assures.

The collaboration between Repsol Toyota Rally Team and TechLab was key to ensure the success of this project. After each stage, the team analyzed lubricant samples, obtaining data to optimize vehicle performance and anticipate potential problems. "We all work with a common goal: to achieve the best possible result," details the pilot.

Beyond technical performance, Esteve also stresses the positive impact these lubricants can have on the future of the automotive industry. "The most important in this regard is that we feel we are part of a change, and this change will be important to take it to our day-to-day mobility," he says, emphasizing that being part of this technological advance is a source of satisfaction: "We know that we are collaborating in this change. It's something to be proud of."

When asked why he chose Repsol, Esteve does not hesitate to highlight the importance of shared values. "Being with Repsol means that you are going to be with a fully invested team to make sure we get the best product. We talk about careers, values, success....
