A story of passion and success in Taiwan: the case of Mr.Chen and Speedway Auto

Today we celebrate the case of Mr. Chen and his workshop, Speedway Auto, who have trusted our brand for more than 35 years, consolidating as a reference in the care of supercars in Taiwan.
When Mr. Chen opened the doors of Speedway Auto more than four decades ago, he had a clear goal: to provide a world-class service for high-performance vehicles. It was in those early days that he made a bold decision that would set the course of his business: to use only Repsol lubricants, which at the time had just arrived in Taiwan.
Today, Speedway Auto is much more than a garage: it is a temple for supercar lovers. With more than 2,000 Porsche owners among its regular customers (in addition to Lamborghini, Ferrari and other high-performance brands) Speedway Auto has earned a special place in Taiwan's automotive community. It is not uncommon to see more than ten supercars lined up daily awaiting an oil change, a testament to the level of trust that customers place in both Mr. Chen and in Repsol products.
The first product that Mr. Chen used was the iconic Rally Racing 5W50, now renamed Master Racing 5W-50. Since then, and despite technological advances and market changes, Mr. Chen has never felt the need to change brands. "Repsol has never failed me or my customers," he says proudly. In fact, even official Porsche dealerships in Taiwan turn to Mr. Chen for technical advice, underlining the prestige of his workshop.
When it comes to competitions, Mr. Chen insists that his customers use Repsol engine oils and brake fluids before and after the race, because he knows that when performance is at stake, quality is non-negotiable. It is something that is reflected in all types of customers, highlighting the case of a Nissan engine where an inspection revealed that, even after 400,000 kilometers, the engine still looked almost brand new.
None of this would have been possible without the constant support of Koida Trading, the distributor that introduced Repsol lubricants in Taiwan more than 35 years ago and has been with Speedway Auto since the beginning. "Koida not only brought Repsol into my workshop, but also into the lives of my customers," says Mr. Chen.
