Maker Synthetic Compressor arrives to the Repsol Lubricants catalog to offer reliable and durable lubrication on rotary and reciprocating compressors subjected to severe conditions. A 100% synthetic formulation (PAO base oils) and a state-of-the-art additive package that prioritize the essentials in the plant: protection, internal cleaning, thermal stability, and more hours of service without surprises.

With the industrial lubricant Maker Synthetic Compressor, available with viscosity grade ISO VG 46 and 68 (the technical data sheet is available here), performance translates into operational peace of mind. This fluid minimizes the formation of sludge and the appearance of lacquers and deposits on sensitive components - such as servo valves, actuators, and ultra-fine filters - helping to maintain the stable flow rate and efficiency of the equipment.

Its high viscosity index ensures consistent behavior over a wide temperature range, with safe cold starts and robust lubricant film at high load. In addition, its excellent demulsibility and anti-foam properties reduce incidences of water and trapped air, two common enemies of real performance.

Added to this is the PAO base oil, which provides superior resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation. Above all, a zinc-free (ashless) additive package protects against wear and corrosion without compromising filterability or compatibility with systems that require ashless products.

The result is a stable, clean, industrial synthetic oil with the ability to sustain extended service intervals when equipment and conditions allow. Specifically, it is designed for change intervals greater than 4,000 hours, the maximum allowed by the standard. However, this figure could be higher, as the actual period should always be set according to the equipment manufacturer and operating conditions, such as intake air quality, duty cycle, and environment.

Maker Synthetic Compressor applications and compatibility

Compressors are a tool used in all types of sectors, such as the mining, cement, energy, or manufacturing industries, as well as marine applications, such as large ships. It is also common to see them at service stations and repair shops.

Among other applications, Maker Synthetic Compressor has been designed for rotary screw and vane air compressors (one- or two-stage, with injection or oil bath), reciprocating compressors, and turbochargers with integral lubrication system. By having a large zinc-free filtering and additives capacity, it is also an ideal option for hydraulic systems that require ashless fluids.

It should be noted that it is an industrial synthetic lubricant compatible with mineral oils, which facilitates the transition in planned maintenance. To make the most of its full potential, it is recommended to make the change following the good practices of emptying, draining, and, if appropriate, flushing according to the manufacturer's guide.

Maker Synthetic Compressor also has clear standards to ensure its stable performance in demanding conditions. It complies with DIN 51506 VDL for compressors, DIN 51524-HVLP for hydraulics, and aligns with ISO 6521/1 (DAA, DAB) and ISO 6521/2 (DAG, DAH, DAJ) families, as well as ISO 6743/3 (L-DAB, DAJ) and ISO 6743/4 HV (equivalent to ISO 11158 HV). It also has the ABB HTGD 90 117 V0001R 117 recommendation. Consequently, it is suitable for use in compressors of the main manufacturers: Ingersol Rand, Atlas Copco, Kaeser Compressors, and Betico.
