Repsol Lubricants celebrates first production with its new joint venture in the Philippines
20 June 2025

On June 17th, Repsol Lubricants marked an important milestone in its international expansion by completing its first local production in the Philippines with its new joint venture. This achievement, which took place at the Valenzuela plant, has been reached less than four months after the signing of an agreement with Unioil Lubricants Inc (ULI), thus consolidating the manufacturing plans laid out in this strategic alliance.

The first product manufactured was Maker Hydroflux EP 68, an industrial lubricant of which 60 drums have been produced. This initial step reflects Repsol's commitment to strengthening its presence in the Philippines, as local production will allow the company to better meet the needs of this market and explore new opportunities, especially in the industrial segment.

The next challenge will be the manufacture of small containers, a step that is already underway with the development of local molds. This will make it possible to diversify the company's product offering and bring the brand even closer to Filipino consumers, moving Repsol Lubricants closer to reaching its goal of becoming one of the main players in the Philippine lubricants industry.

With this first production, Repsol Lubricants reaffirms its ambition to grow in new markets and consolidate itself as a leading global brand. The Valenzuela plant symbolizes the beginning of a new stage for the company in the Philippines, where Repsol Lubricants hopes to continue building a strong and lasting relationship with Uniol Lubricants.
