Bridging the gap between science and the customer: Technical Reference Program 2025
The 2025 edition of the Repsol Lubricants Technical Reference Program was a resounding success, bringing together over 100 professionals from our distributors' most knowledgeable sales force: 70 from Spain and over 30 from Latin America and the EMEAI region.
This is a program designed especially for those salespeople who stand out as technical references in their area: i.e., those who represent the technical advisor model within the distribution. These are profiles of people who not only know the portfolio inside-out, but also transmit, accompany, and replicate best practices, becoming a go-to support for the rest of the team.
That's why, over the course of six intense days, from September 7th to 12th, attendees took part in a training and experience itinerary designed to translate technical knowledge into concrete benefits for the client, reinforcing Repsol Lubricants' value proposition in all markets.
The program combined training sessions with immersive activities at Repsol's main facilities in Spain. In this way, participants were able to learn firsthand about the work carried out at the TechLab in Móstoles, a hub for innovation and development of lubricants, as well as at the refinery and production plant in Puertollano, where high-performance products are manufactured and distributed worldwide.
The technical talks, given by experts from the Technical Assistance and Development team, addressed key areas such as automotive lubricants and heavy-duty vehicles.
In addition to training, the program included team-building activities and unique experiences, such as a day at the Circuito de Jarama, where participants enjoyed defensive and experiential driving sessions, as well as go-karting. Meanwhile, dinners at emblematic locations in Madrid served as spaces for networking and strengthening Repsol Lubricants' international technical community.
The Technical Reference Program is a key part of Repsol Lubricants' strategy to keep its commercial network at the forefront of technical knowledge, but always with a practical approach: turning technology and innovation into clear arguments and tangible benefits for the end customer. As the organizing team highlighted, "science at the service of the user is in our DNA, and this program is the best way to reinforce that commitment."
The success of the 2025 edition reaffirms the importance of continuing to invest in the training of our most specialized commercial force. The combination of technical training, facility visits, and shared experiences will allow attendees to return to their markets with stronger tools to convey how the value of our lubricants sets us apart.
