Repsol Lubricants eleva el rendimiento de Elite Evolution DX1 y Master Eco M
Repsol Lubricants' light vehicle lubricant ranges just keep upgrading to the sector's latest quality categories. Namely, our Master Eco M 0W-20 and Elite Evolution DX1 products (0W-20 and 5W-30) are now API SQ compliant. In the case of the latter, its classification is also now updated to ILSAC GF‑7A. These improvements meet the demands of modern engines and result in more reliable, efficient, and long-lasting experiences.
API SQ, effective as of March 2025, is the American Petroleum Institute's (API) most advanced standard for gasoline engine oils. Its evolution against API SP provides greater energy efficiency, reinforced protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI), better engine cleaning, and extended life. In addition, it maintains backward compatibility with previous categories of the "S" family, facilitating its use in vehicles that previously required SP or SN.
As for the new ILSAC GF‑7A specification, it now replaces GF‑6A and raises the bar on three key fronts: engine care, fuel efficiency, and tank reduction.
With API SQ and ILSAC GF‑7A, Elite Evolution DX1 reinforces its proposition for gasoline engines, including direct-injection turbochargers, where protection from LSPI is critical. The synthetic nature and its studied viscosity allow fuel savings measured under standard conditions of the Sequence VIE test, with up to 3.8% in 0W‑20 and up to 3.1% in 5W‑30.
The formulation also offers superior high-temperature tank control, sludge management, and gasket compatibility, with the goal of keeping the engine clean and efficient for longer.
In addition, Elite Evolution DX1 continues to meet the sector's most demanding quality specifications: GM Dexos 1 Gen 3, Ford WSS-M2C962-A1 (SAE 0W-20 viscosity only), Ford WSS-M2C961-A1 (5W-30 only), as well as Fiat Meets 9.55535 CR1, and Fiat Meets 9.55535 GSX (0W-20 only). This ensures its compatibility and optimal performance on a wide range of modern engines, providing greater peace of mind and confidence to users of these brands.
The upgrade to API SQ consolidates the long-lasting formulation of Master Eco M 0W-20, aimed at diesel and gasoline vehicles with gas treatment by particulate filter. Its synthetic base and 0W-20 grade reduce internal friction, favor cold start and contribute to lower consumption, with savings of up to 3% compared to other lubricants under standardized conditions of the M111FE test.
It also stands out for its low formation of deposits and sludge, including control over the turbocharger, and protection from LSPI. In addition, non-avoidable emissions in their life cycle are offset on a voluntary basis by verified credits from nature-based projects.
Elsewhere, Master Eco M 0W-20 continues to meet the demanding ACEA C5, ACEA C6, MB-Approval 229.71, Ford WSS-M2C952-A1, Opel OV401547, Jaguar Land Rover STJLR.03.5006, and GM Dexos D grades. These international approvals and standards ensure that this lubricant maintains its compatibility and optimal performance in a wide range of state-of-the-art vehicles.
Beyond the technical nomenclature, these updates guarantee more protected, efficient, and cleaner engines in real-life scenarios: smooth starts, lower risk of pre-ignition in urban traffic, less waste, and a more stable response as your vehicle racks up kilometers.
From the lab to your vehicle, API SQ and ILSAC GF‑7A compliance is the confidence, safety, and performance you feel every time you drive.
