Repsol Lubricants partners up with MotoGP to become the new exclusive supplier of Moto2 and Moto3
Repsol Lubricants takes a firm step in its global expansion strategy by becoming the exclusive supplier of lubricants for the Moto2 and Moto3 categories of the MotoGP World Championship. This agreement, signed with Dorna Sports, organizer of both championships, will run from 2026 to 2030 and reinforces Repsol's historic relationship with the world of motorsport.
Repsol's relationship with motorcycling dates back more than five decades, during this time has been the involved in some of the most memorable moments alongside legends such as Ángel Nieto, Sito Pons, and Jorge Martínez ‘Aspar.’ In addition, its 30-year alliance with the Repsol Honda Team has consolidated the company as a benchmark in innovation and performance within this competition.
“We are excited to return to the Motorcycle World Championship and to be able to demonstrate the quality and performance of our lubricants in such a demanding environment. This agreement allows us to continue innovating and improving our products to offer the best to our customers", explains Clara Velasco, director of Repsol Lubricants.
Repsol Lubricants, with a commercial presence in more than 90 countries, sets itself apart for its focus on innovation. Its products are developed and tested at the Repsol Technology Lab, one of the most advanced R&D centers in Europe, where a team of 230 researchers works with cutting-edge technology. In fact, within the framework of the agreement with Dorna, the company is going to launch a new range of racing products, designed to meet the needs of high-performance motorcycles.
With production plants in Spain, Mexico, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines, Repsol is prepared to guarantee the supply of lubricants to Moto2 and Moto3 teams in all championship events. "This sponsorship allows us to connect with our customers from a more authentic, more emotional place, without losing the technical rigor that characterizes us. We want to be that co-pilot that ensures that every kilometer is covered without friction, with confidence, and with purpose," said Valero Marín, Repsol’s executive managing director of Client.
